Writing School

I signed up to a correspondence writing course which covers lots of different styles of writing and almost guarantees you'll be able to sell your work at the end of it. You can take 4 years to do it, which is great, as in typical Mimi fashion I signed up to it 3 years ago and still haven't started it. So... I have one year in which to complete God knows how many assignments! Nothing like a deadline to get me moving! hehe

I have finally completed the 'Self Analysis' which is the first step to getting assigned a dedicated tutor who will review my work. Yay! Am sending it in this week.

I guess my ultimate hope is that I can transition into a career of writing. I've always loved writing, and never done enough of it. Plus I'm getting tired of the world of user experience, so a change will be welcome. And writing is a portable career... who knows where I'll be living in 3 years' time? It will be great to not be tied to a place (or even country) of work...

My first blog entry

Ok, so I have been a little slow on getting this whole blog thing going. I'm a Taurean, remember? By nature we are cautious and slow-moving :) In any case, I've finally done it. Getting this blog going is something I've been meaning to do for ages, so I have an easy way of publishing my writing, be it a thought, a composition or just a generic diary entry.
